This is another of my favourite places, the mountains are 15 minutes away from our house. The colours on the blanket bog are constantly changing. I painted this as a sunset, the colours in the shy echo the colour of the bog at this time of the year. The bog will turn green shortly with new growth.

This is a painting of the Gorse, or Furze bushes that abound throughout the wicklow mountains and foothills around my house. At this time of year it comes into bloom creating a mass of yellow in the landscape that is repeated again in the Autumn.
